Dinnyés-fertő Nature Conservation Area

Away from the big city the voice of thousands of geese can be heard far from their resting place. This undisturbed place on one of Europe's biggest bird migration route is a temporary home for several thousands of birds in every November. A short, quiet walk from the trainstation in the cold is a lovely prelude to this rather noisy spectacle.
